There is a wide variety of financial careers and each play a vital role in the economy. There are many careers involving finance. See below for some ideas.

Accountant: The job of an accountant is to prepare and examine financial records and also file tax returns for the company. You need to pass a standardized test to become an accountant.

Private Equity: Private equity consists of funds and investor’s money that is used to invest into either a private company or public company buyouts, causing it not to be on the public market.

Hedge Fund Manager: A hedge fund is an alternative investment that is designated to protect you against market uncertainty. A hedge fund normally generates money in both positive and negative markets. Hedge funds also invest in anything, for example: land, real estates, stocks and currencies.

Investment Banker: An investment banker works for a financial institution and their main job is to raise capital for different corporations.

Banker: Employee of a bank who helps the financial needs of the client of the bank. A banker tries to increase the profits of the bank while still maintaining reasonable risks.

Financial Analyst: A financial analyst analyzes financial data and uses their findings to help make business decisions.

Venture Capitalist: A venture capitalist is someone that gives a private company money, in exchange for equity within the company. This could either be supporting small businesses that want to expand or a startup that wants to get running.

Mutual Fund Manager: A mutual fund manager takes the pool of money investors are willing to give the fund manager. The fund manager then chooses which stocks, bonds or other assets to buy and manage.
